S-Camshaft

An S-camshaft (or S-cam) is a critical component used in the air brake systems of heavy-duty vehicles like trucks and trailers. It is a shaft with an S-shaped cam at one end; when rotated by the brake actuator, the “S” profile pushes the brake shoes outward against the brake drum to slow down or stop the vehicle.

Spider

In heavy automotive and machinery applications, a “spider” typically refers to the central anchor plate of a drum brake assembly (the brake spider) which holds the brake shoes, camshaft, and anchor pins securely in place. Alternatively, in drivetrain systems, it refers to the cross-shaped journal (spider cross) inside a universal joint or differential.

Chamber Bracket

A chamber bracket is a heavy-duty mounting bracket used to securely attach the air brake chamber to the axle or suspension assembly of a commercial vehicle. It ensures the brake chamber remains perfectly aligned with the slack adjuster and camshaft under extreme mechanical stress.

Bottom Clamp

A bottom clamp is a structural securing component commonly used in heavy-duty vehicle suspension systems (such as leaf spring assemblies). It fits underneath the axle to sandwich and tightly clamp the leaf springs together with U-bolts, ensuring the axle remains firmly attached to the suspension.

Flange

A flange is a forged or machined rim, collar, or rib designed to connect pipes, valves, pumps, or shaft components together. In automotive and industrial applications, flanges are bolted together to provide a high-strength, leak-proof joint or to securely couple rotating shafts.

Adapter

An adapter is a connecting component used to join two mechanical parts or fluid lines that have different sizes, threading, or matching configurations. It acts as an intermediary link, allowing otherwise incompatible systems to fit together seamlessly.

Yoke

A yoke is a fork-shaped mechanical component used in drivetrain and steering systems. Commonly found in universal joints (U-joints) and driveshafts, it connects rotating shafts together at an angle, allowing power to transmit smoothly even when the vehicle’s suspension moves up and down.

Sleeve

A sleeve is a cylindrical liner or tube designed to fit over a shaft, axle, or inside a housing. It serves various purposes depending on the application—acting as a protective shield against wear, a spacer to maintain precise gaps, or a replaceable bearing surface to minimize friction.
